WHITE GLASS GLITTER SNARE
Here is yet another vintage Japanese-made snare drum in a white and silver-sparkle finish. I believe the wrap is sometimes called "White Glass Glitter" and so that is what I will call it. This drum bore no badge to identify a brand name but was in excellent overall shape. Time to give all the chrome a sound polishing. By this I mean not only the lugs and rims, but also the finer details such as those dirty tension rods and screw heads (as denoted in the following photo):
Shining up these smaller parts really makes a difference in a complete restoration. Taking the time to painstakingly polish every little component brings the project back to its original splendor much more than a quick, cursory cleaning. Observe the final results:
Those brown, rusty screws are now shiny silver again, as are the tension rods, rims, lugs and other major parts. I can now add this snare to the pile of finished projects.

Yes. Thank you. I have updated my piece in response to your comment. I think you are right. It sounds good anyway. Better than "White/Silver Sparkle" anyway.
