Anyway, what I did was...I bought another drum set. Yes, I know I don't need another drum set and I surely wasn't planning on buying a new drum set but I came across this auction on Ebay and...well...
So now I have another Tama kit. The reason I bid on this particular set is I am a complete moron who is irresponsible with his money. Well, that and this is an Imperialstar "Be-Bop" kit, more recently labeled a "Ready-To-Rock" kit.
While "Be-Bop" is a totally gay name in my opinion - and "Ready-To-Rock" is pretty juvenile as well, this "down-sized" drum set features an 18" bass drum, 10 and 12 inch toms and a 14 inch floor tom which is freaking awesome and too good to pass up. The bad news is, the matching 13 inch snare drum was offered in a separate auction which I subsequently lost to another bidder who jumped in with four seconds to go and rudely robbed me. What a jerk. Now I have to track down a snare to go with this kit.
