My percussion collection includes more than just standard drums and cymbals. I also have a few items in the "World Percussion" genre. Here are a few unique instruments from other countries that I have acquired and enjoy banging around on:
- Djembe (Africa)
- Bongos (Africa/Cuba)
- 13" Timbale (Cuba/Latin America)
- 12" Pandiero (Brazil)
- 8" Mini Timbale or Timbalito (Cuba/Latin America)
- 8" Darbuka (India)
- 6" Tamborim (Brazil)
- 10" Roto-tom (Uhhh...)
A Roto-tom?! How'd that get in there? You can't get any more American than that! Well, I had to work it in somewhere.....
