RANDOM RESTORATION: 12" BLUE SPARKLE PEARL TOM

 HOW IT STARTED:

This "unbranded" tom had a couple of obvious issues besides just being a little dirty: no bottom rim and a missing tom mount.  This was easily overcome by simply buying the required replacements.

HOW IT'S GOING:

Now the wrap and all the chrome has been shined up, proper parts have been installed, new heads put on and this drum is ready to rock.  What I haven't shown here was the lengthy process of disassembling all the lugs, de-rusting the many springs, swivel nuts, bolts and washers, hand-polishing all of it thoroughly and putting it all back together. But I'm the only one who cares about any of that.

What next?  Well, this one gets placed on the stack and I go to work on the next one.
