TREEWORKS TRIANGLE TREE

This is my collection of Treeworks Triangles. The sizes are 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 inches.  When Treeworks first began making triangles in addition to their excellent bar chimes, they offered this assembly on the top row featuring the 3 through 6 inchers.  Later they discontinued the 3-inch triangle and replaced it with a single finger cymbal as shown below.

I also have two versions of this arrangement in my collection, but I dismembered one of them, so that the three triangles remain on the truncated wooden bar and the finger cymbal is a separate entity that can be mounted elsewhere.  The other set is intact like the version pictured here.

The two larger triangles on the bottom row (in the photo above) were once offered by Treeworks as stand-alone instruments, and came with small hand-held wooden mounts to suspend them while they are being played.  This required me to build my own custom bar on which to hang them as I have, so that I could display my collection on a cymbal stand and have them all neatly lined up, ready to add to a drumset or percussion arrangement.  From what I can tell after searching around on the internet, these big 8 and 10-inch triangles are no longer being made, since they do not appear on the Treeworks website (nor on Ebay at the time of this writing).  The 4, 5 and 6-inch triangles can still be purchased separately if one so desired.

So that's my collection of Treeworks triangles, which I just wanted to feature since I finally got around to making the custom bar mount this weekend despite having acquired the 8 and 10-inch triangles years ago.  Of course I have other triangles as well, not pictured here, including the 4, 5 and 6 made by Latin Percussion and a couple of larger "no-namers" that I also fashioned with custom mounts, but perhaps that should be another discussion.  After all, triangles don't exactly prompt riveting conversation, and aren't nearly as unique and interesting-looking as bar chimes or bell trees.  Sooo.....I think we're done here.
