THE RED SPARKLE TRUMP KIT

Now here is an interesting kit.  This is my red-sparkle Trump kit consisting of a 20-inch bass drum, 12" tom, 14" floor tom and 5 x 14" snare.  All of the drums have the long tension rods that attach to a single row of lugs in the center, which I believe is referred to as a "Club Date" style (copied from Ludwig).  They also feature the large, ornate Trump badge featuring a hand of playing cards, which proves the name refers to the game of Bridge and not a certain U.S. president, as some immediately and incorrectly assume.

Unfortunately the floor tom is missing this badge, which led me to a search on Ebay just for poops and giggles.  Lo and behold I found a matching Trump badge for sale, but would you believe the seller is asking EIGHTY DOLLARS for it?  Eighty dollars just for the badge, no drum attached.  I believe that is what is known as price gouging, which is what these dishonest drum-gutters do, the heartless bastards.  They are basically a percussion "chop shop," taking drums apart and selling them piecemeal to scam more money off their victims.

You see, a Trump drum kit is exceptionally rare.  I would imagine I am one of the only people that owns one.  So unless you have one of these kits, which is highly unlikely, or are perhaps a rare drum badge collector, you wouldn't be interested.  This greedy seller is counting on a desperate Trump drum owner like myself succumbing to his unprincipled piracy practices, reluctantly forking over a ridiculous, exorbitant amount of cash in order to obtain this small item and successfully complete a project with perfect detail.  Instead of being a reasonably agreeable member of the drum community and helping out a fellow collector by asking a sensible price of no more than twenty or thirty dollars, this avaricious asshole thinks he can milk eighty dollars out of some sucker just because he can.  And unfortunately he probably will.  But it won't be me.  I have a drum with no badge, and he has a badge with no drum.  It seems like we could get together but some people just have to be greedy dicks.

And I don't care if Donald Trump is the president.  That's got nothing to do with these drums, and it does not justify thinking you can get more money just by using the Trump name and hoping some mindless supporter is going to buy this item because it has his name on it.  It doesn't!  As I said before, the name refers to a card game, not a political candidate.  So there.

Now, having said all that.....
