RMP JAP-SNARE

Here is another vintage Japanese-made snare drum that I acquired recently that has a beautiful Red Marine Pearl wrap.  Other interesting characteristics include a dual-knob snare tension control mechanism and a unique-looking tone control (muffler) knob.  I also notice that this drum does not have an air hole.  That seems to be very peculiar as all drums always have an air hole.  But this snare definitely does not have one.  Wonder why that is?

Here are some "Before" pictures:

And now here are the results of my restoration.  The chrome was pretty-badly pitted, so the drum doesn't exactly look brand-spanking new, but I am still pleased with the results.

And here is a "close-up" of that odd-looking Tone Control Knob:

Another job well done.  NEXT!!!
