"COW" KIT COMPLETE
I have now finished the "COW" Slingerland kit by adding new tension rods and "black dot" heads. "COW" is the acronym used to denote wood drums with a chrome wrap or more simply "Chrome Over Wood." This is to clarify that the drum shells are indeed made of wood and not metal. The chrome finish is a thin wrap applied to the outside of the wooden shells. So here we have wood drums that look metallic but are, in fact, not metal.
The snare drum with this kit, however, is an all-metal drum. It has an aluminum shell. And a coated head instead of a black dot. But none of these details have any bearing on those of you who do not in fact read any of this information but instead simply look at the pictures. Whatever. Thank you very little. You won't find this kind of stuff on Facebook, you know.
