REFURBISHED LATIN PERCUSSION CHIMES

I picked up this set of Latin Percussion Bar Chimes on eBay.  This is an old set from way back when LP mounted their chimes on a plain, straight board as opposed to the rather ornate style they offer nowadays.  A couple of bars had broken loose and the instrument was in need of a good thorough cleaning.

Here I have restrung all the chimes on new plastic ties because the old string ties were deteriorating and coming loose.  The mounting board has been polished to bring the wood back to life, and the brass grommets and the LP label have been shined up as well.

I would like to replace the missing striker, but unfortunately Latin Percussion has discontinued offering individual strikers separately so I am having some difficulty hunting one down.
