THE TUNE I HAD TO LEARN.....

In case it was not clear, I did not choose to nickname my percussion collection "The Fortress" simply to use military nomenclature, although being surrounded by drums, blocks, bells and chimes is one way to wall oneself in for protection.  I also had in mind the phrase "A Mighty Fortress is Our God," which happens to be the title of one of my favorite traditional church hymns, which is why I felt it was necessary to learn how to play it on the Orchestra Chimes.  This tune sounds best when played by ringing church bells:

That sounds totally awesome, does it not?  It does, and guess what?   God is totally awesome too.
